Sejarah telah membuktikan bahawa dasar kecemerlangan sesuatu bangsa merujuk kepada perkembangan sahsiah golongan mudanya..Lahirnya reformis2 muda menunjukkan golongan ini sudah mula muak dengan monopoli2 kotor golongan feudal yang memegang mazhab kapitalisme yang mahir menggunakan apa sahaja cara demi memastikan keuntungan diperolehi oleh mereka...Jika kita kaji bagaimana perkembangan ideologi idealisme ini lebih memihak kepada dasar2 perjuangan berhaluan kiri.Kita bisa melihat bagaimana Mao Zedong,seorang pemimpin agung yang memegang fahaman Marxisme mula menyedari kepentingan golongan muda dalam menetukan masa depan pembangunan negara.Gua amat tertarik dengan agenda beliau yang cuba menggunakan golongan muda dan cendiakawan ini untuk menyebarkan falsafah yang menjadi doktrin beliau bagi melahirkan sebuah republik yang bersatu di bawah satu ideologi.Oleh itu,Gerakan2 golongan muda ini cukup penting untuk mewujudkan sebuah negara bangsa...KEMBALIKAN HAK BERSUARA,SUARA KAMI SUARA HATI,KAMI JUNJUNG KAMI KENDONG STUDENT POWER,

Yahudi, Zionis dan Israel: Apa Bezanya?

BARU-BARU ini, banyaklah perbincangan yang berkaitan dengan isu Yahudi, Zionis dan Israel berlegar-legar di portal media dan juga akhbar tempatan.
Pelbagai isu, contohnya penglibatan sebuah syarikat bernama Apco Worldwide dengan kerajaan Malaysia, “pendedahan” Ketua Pembangkang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yang mengaitkan negara dengan dengan gerakan Yahudi antarabangsa dan tuduhan-tuduhan melulu berkaitan Israel dan gerakan Zionis merupakan antara isu “panas” yang dimainkan oleh pakatan pembangkang dan tentunya ia sedang menjadi perhatian rakyat ketika ini.
Umumnya, saya merasakan apabila bercakap soal Yahudi, Zionis, Israel dan keyahudian, terdapat banyak stereotyping dan misnoma yang dikaitkan dengan frasa-frasa ini. Melalui interaksi saya, saya dapati kebanyakan masyarakat menganggap frasa-frasa ini membawa maksud dan mewakili kumpulan masyarakat yang sama, yang tentu sekali anggapan ini amat besar khilafnya.
Perkataan Yahudi itu sendiri melambangkan suatu bangsa, yang jika dikaji susur galurnya di dalam kitab-kitab samawi menunjukkan bahawasanya bangsa ini lahir dari keturunan Nabi Ibrahim A.S melalui anaknya Nabi Yaakub A.S. Manakala agama Yahudi itu atau Judaism merupakan agama amalan bangsa itu sendiri secara eksklusif.
Bangsa Yahudi itu semestinya beragama Yahudi dan penurunan keturunan di kalangan bangsa Yahudi ini berlaku dari sebelah ibu, yang bererti sekiranya seseorang itu ibunya adalah Yahudi, maka dia secara automatik akan diiktiraf sebagai seorang yang berbangsa Yahudi oleh komunitinya. Masyarakat Yahudi secara amnya mengamalkan agama mereka secara introvert dan tidak cuba untuk mengembangkan fahaman mereka kepada bangsa-bangsa lain, dan jarang kita dengar akan individu dari subset bangsa lain “masuk” agama Yahudi.
Dari sudut Islam, penganut agama Yahudi ini diiktiraf sebagai ahli kitab dan sembelihannya halal dimakan oleh umat Islam. Saya pernah diberitahu sahabat- sahabat saya yang pernah tinggal di kawasan metropolis di Amerika Syarikat contohnya, mereka pernah dan ada yang selalu melanggani kedai daging Kosher milik masyarakat Yahudi atas sebab tidak wujudnya jualan daging-daging halal di sesetengah kawasan di negara itu.
Zionisme pula atau fahaman Zionis adalah satu gerakan dan fahaman ultra-nasionalis Yahudi yang menginginkan penubuhan sebuah negara bangsa sendiri atau promised land yang diasaskan oleh seorang wartawan Yahudi berkerakyatan Austria bernama Theodor Herzl. Dan hasilnya, tertubuhlah sebuah negara yang tidak diiktiraf oleh masyarakat Islam sedunia dengan nama Israel. Dan dasar Israel ini adalah mudah - negara ini menganggap semua orang Yahudi, tidak mengira dari mana asal negaranya merupakan penduduknya yang sah dan dibenarkan untuk berhijrah pulang ke Israel untuk menetap secara tetap sebagai rakyatnya.
Inilah punca utama pergeseran yang kita saksikan saban hari di Asia Barat apabila kerajaan Zionis Israel terus menerus merampas tanah hak rakyat Palestin untuk memperbesarkan komuniti Zionisnya secara kejam dan tidak berperikemanusiaan.
Perbezaaan besar di antara Yahudi dan Zionis ialah; penganut fahaman itu tentunya orang yang beragama Yahudi dan berbangsa Yahudi, tetapi bukannya semua penganut dan bangsa Yahudi ini adalah berfahaman Zionis.
Sebagai contoh, pengikut kepada mazhab ortodox Yahudi yang dikenali dengan nama Naturei Karta misalnya merupakan sekelompok masyarakat Yahudi yang menentang secara habis-habisan ideologi Zionisme dan juga penubuhan Israel yang dianggap gerakan itu sebagai satu ‘dosa besar’ bagi bangsa Yahudi. Malah terdapat juga pertubuhan-pertubuhan anti Zionism lain di kalangan masyarakat Yahudi di peringkat antarabangsa, antaranya ialah seperti International Jewish Anti Zionism Network (IJAN) dan Satmar. Gerakan-gerakan ini, sama ada berbentuk sekular mahupun secara keagamaan, semuanya membenci dan menolak gerakan sekular Zionisme yang mereka anggap sebagai satu gerakan haram yang menggadaikan maruah bangsa Yahudi itu sendiri di mata dunia.
Jadi, sebelum mana-mana di antara kita ingin berdiskusi secara lebih lanjut tentang Yahudi, Israel, Zionisme dan keyahudian secara menyeluruh perlulah kita fahami akan terminology-terminologi ini dahulu, agar sekurang-kurangnya dapatlah kita elakkan mengecam dan mengutuk sesuatu bangsa secara membuta tuli.
Mungkin kemarahan kita sepatutnya ditujukan kepada bangsa Yahudi yang menganut fahaman Zionis sahaja, di atas kekejaman dan penyeksaan yang mereka masih hamburkan kepada masyarakat Palestin di Gaza dan Tebing Barat, dan tentunya ingatan kita tetap kepada masyarakat Palestin yang masih tertindas setelah lebih 50 tahun berjuang. Mengenangkan ini, saya sungguh bersyukur dilahirkan di Malaysia!

Dramatis Sang Pemain Badminton

Sejak beberapa minggu ,gua tengok orang malaysia ni ramai yang secara tiba2nye menjadi kaki peminat badminton ni...dari yang kecil ke besa,muda ke tua,laki2 ke pompuan..perghh...masing2 ade hujah tersendiri terhadap sukan badminton nih...Al-maklumlah,kita yang jadi tuan rumah untuk Thomas Cup taon ni...tp yang cukup mengecewakan gua nmpk ramai daripada atlet2 badminton kita gagal untuk menggunakan peluang yang sedia ada membuktikan pada dunia malaysia masih lagi antara jagoan badminton yang ulung di persada asia...Kekalahan 3-0 cukup mengecewakan rakyat malaysia yang kepingin untuk melihat wira2 ni menjulang piala ni.

Hartal???..

Gua cuma mampu tersenyum

Bagi pendapat gua,warna memainkan peranan dalam hidup kita,manusia ini dilahirkan dalam berbagai warna dan corak.Cuba lu orang bayangkan jika hidup ini stereotaip dengan kelabu semata2 mcm citer2 P.Ramlee,Gua tgok pon bosan.Dari segi kehidupan pulak,kita dilahirkan dalam berbagai warna,corak kehidupan kita berbeza..Itulah uniknya ciptaan manusia,tidak ada satu pon yang serupa walaupun berbillion umat manusia lahir setiap zaman.Pada gua,dunia ini dilahirkan adil,ada pro ada kontra,sume perkara ada wadahnya,Baik vs Jahat,Kaya vs Miskin,Pandai vs Bodoh,Cepat vs Lambat...kehidupan ini saling melengkapi sebenarnya...cuma gua nk nasehatkan kat sume kita ni manusia,ada kalnya kita di atas disanjung,dihormati...Ada kalanya kita di bawah dicemuh,dihina,dimaki.....Bagi gua itulah hidup,x semua benda yng kita buat orang suka...cume kita mampu terima,perbetol,dan berubah...

I,Too,Am Malay

Note) I managed to contact Zaid Ibrahim about his book “I, too, am Malay”. I sent him ten questions and he has so  kindly replied to me in a few days. Although Zaid’s replies are short but they are concise and I thank him for allowing his thoughts to be featured in my blog. I must thank ZI Publications too for this book, which Lori Lee has kindly sent me after my review on Ioannis Gatsiounis Book “Velvet and Cinder Blocks”.
Below is my interview with Zaid on his new book:
[SLOONE] – When you say “Saya pun Melayu”, the word “pun (also)” seem to be intentional to mean that while you are Malay, there are aspects of yourself: ideas, principles, attitudes, actions, and perspectives that separates or alienates you from other Malays. Is that true? If yes, why?

[Zaid] – UMNO has distorted the Malay character, and stereotype them to suit their political ideas. One can be inclusive, liberal, tolerant and believe in the values of a plural and multicultural society and still be a Malay. Hence the word ‘pun” to remind them that there are other Malays who are unlike them.

[SLOONE] – Mahathir wrote the Malay Dilemma when he was expelled from UMNO; and so did you write “Saya pun Melayu” after being sacked from UMNO. This book seem to be a platform, an opportunity for you to rant against a party which you were part of for many years. If you never left UMNO or were expelled from the party, would you have written this book?

[Zaid] – I wrote the book because I want to share my views with other Malaysians on things that I consider important for the country. UMNO is so outdated and dangerous as a political party that I feel necessary to forewarn others of such trend. Not just for UMNO but also for other race based parties that we will jeopardize our future if extreme ideologies rule the day, and we no longer have the capacity to deal with one another properly.

[SLOONE] – A Malay is defined in Article 160(2) of our Constitution of 1957. He speaks Malay habitually, follows Malay customs and professes the Muslim religion. Corruption is a way of life for most politicians and is not supposed to be a Malay custom, nor is it in line with the Muslim religion. Can they still be called Malays?

[Zaid] – A definition is just that a definition. It serves its purpose in the classification of the people of Malaysia as to who are Malays. Whether they want live by that tenet or not ,only they can decide.

[SLOONE] – You seemed to be shocked, at age 42, that you could not win even a low-level UMNO contest without having a “godfather”. Isn’t that a bit naïve to think like that? What did you expect before you joined the party?

Zaid] – Maybe I was naïve, and with the benefit of hindsight everyone is wiser. But I thought a local party election should be decided by local issues and the service one can offer. Why would an endorsement by the leader necessary escaped me

SLOONE] – You said: Hanya dengan ilmu mereka dapat mengatasi kejahilan tentang perkara-perkara asas… Membaca Utusan Malaysia sahaja tidak akan mengembangkan pemikiran mereka…Membaca memang menambah ilmu. Dan ilmu itulah yang akan menukar nilai dan pandangan.Itulah yang memajukan orang Melayu”.
But how do you get the Malays to read something other than Utusan Malaysia? Any suggestions?

[Zaid] – Well Malaysians and Malays don’t read much so that’s why I was urging more people, especially the Malays to read. So their world view and mindset will change for the better. Knowledge is a very powerful liberating force

[SLOONE] – When writing this book, did you plan to present your ideas and stories in such a manner that when non-Malays read this book, it might just erase some of their negative stereotypes of Malays they harbor? Do you observe that non-Malays do indeed have their own prejudices against the Malays which is at times (most) unfair?

[Zaid] – We live in a country quite steeped in prejudices. We do not mix enough nor do we understand enough of one another. The school system, the religious dictates, social norms all add up to make us live separately in a more segregated society. So its good if we can have more communication. I have only a modest hope about my book, that Malays and non Malays realize that they are inextricably linked; that the future is about them getting along well.

[SLOONE] – In the chapter “Masa Depan Melayu” (The Future of Malays) in Part III, you suggests that Malays must not be obsessed with empty slogans like Ketuanan Melayu or ONE Malaysia. The road to Ketuanan Melayu, you write, is not by shouting your lungs out at every gathering, rather through diligence, hard work, and most of all, superior education. Do you still believe then in ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ ?

[Zaid] – I use the term here as meaning the malays as successful people, not as superior to others. I most definitely reject the notion of one race having more rights than others. So it means that if you want people to address as Tuan (Boss) than you have to earn the stripes and work hard.

[SLOONE] – Why is it that Malays always have to explain themselves, or assert themselves (in the case of UMNO, aggressively) although they (as Malays and as a party) are dominant in this country, and enjoy many privileges others do not (Malay Special Rights). You hardly find a Chinese or Indian or even a Kadazan Malaysian saying the same thing: I, too, am Chinese/Indian/Kadazan, etc. What is your comment?

[Zaid] – The Malays are a dominant group and politically powerful. So some people who want to maintain that dominance and secure the support of this important group do so by talking about the Malays. Well I don’t know why the Chinese don’t want to talk about themselves but they should. We should not pretend everything is well on the surface when its not. Malaysians must be assertive, bold and courageous. But not necessarily being combative or looking for a fight. But to assert ones rights yes.

[SLOONE] – Do you think Malays are aware that they may not be able to compete with others on a level playing field, that they constantly feel threatened and insecure that they need to define, redefine, and boast about themselves at all times? Eg. keris wielding and racist ranting techniques at UMNO General Assembly. Or is this just an indoctrination method used by UMNO to hold on to its leadership and dominance in the country?

[Zaid] – The Malays are successful, in all fields. They have shown their worth and their competitive spirit. That’s why I think UMNO is worried . They are relevant only if Malays are still insecure or remain uncompetitive.

[SLOONE] – After reading most of your book, I get the impression that you are attempting to explain yourself, I see reflections of guilt and remorse in some chapters, especially the chapter on Salleh Abbas. I felt deep in your heart that you feel you have been totally misunderstood, and via this book, you try to set the record straight. What do you feel you have achieved after writing this book?

[Zaid] – I have no guilt nor remorse although its true that in lifes long journey one does make mistakes or could have done things differently. Or totally misunderstood. But no guilt or remorse. I hope this small effort of mine will help explain some of the more important events in my not so successful political career

Gua mungkin belum lahir lagi pada zaman 60an..tapi ape yang gua dgr time tu student unity mostly kat Universiti Malaya time tu bes giler..Dimana student2 diberi kuasa bersuara ataupun "STUDENT POWER"Kat UM sendiri time,para pemimpin pelajar zaman tu da mula menubuhkan gerakan pelajar seperti PMUM untuk perpaduan mahasiswa.Antara tokoh yang pernah terlibat dalam persatuan ni antaranya ialah Hishamudin Rais dan Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.Namun setelah tercetusnya demonstrasi pelajar pada tahun 1974 untuk memperjuangkan nasib petani miskin di Baling.Kerajaan mula merasa student power ini memberikan ancaman kepada mereka.Seterusnya,student power di semua universiti di malaysia ketika tu telah dihapuskan dan digantikan dengan Akta Universiti dan Kolej Universiti(AUKU) yang secara literalnya terang-terangan menutup hak kebebasan bersuara manakala sebarang bentuk persatuan dikawal rapi oleh kerajaan dan pentadbiran universiti.Manakala,Student's Union pula ditukarkan kepada Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar yang jelas da xde power,hilang hak kuasa autonominye dan menyekat kebebasan bersuara.

Dalam penulisan blog gua kali ni..gua nk berkongsi kat korang tentang beratnya masalah polemik orang melayu yang gua perhatikan kebelakangan ni semakin meruncing..contohnya,lepas terlahirnya tsunami poltik di Msia pada tahun 2008,tertubuhnya sebuah gerakan NGO yng diberi nama Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa(PERKASA) oleh Datuk Ibrahim Ali dan dinaungi oleh Mahathir Mohd.Tujuan asal penubuhan gerakan ini bertujuan untuk membela nasib orang melayu dan mengekalkan ketuanan adat dan rakyat.Pada pendapat gua,siapa yang sebenarnya tertindas,gua bukan ingin sama sekali menimbulkan sikap rasis terhadap sebarang kenyataan di sini,Gua rasa yng memerintah Malaysia masih individu yng bernama Melayu.Atas dasar apa pertubuhan ini ditubuhkan?...atau ianya hanyalah sekadar permainan kotor golongan tertentu yang dengan sahaja menggunakan nama MELAYU untuk menyebarkan fahaman fasis semata-mata.Perkasa menggunakan nama ketuanan adat melayu dan secara peribadunya menggunakan sentimen rasis untuk menyerang bangsa lain..secara khususnya...dari kecil lagi kita ditanamkan sikap membenci terhadap kaum lain...Tapi ape faedahnya,jika kita lihat penubuhan Dasar Ekonomi Baru yng ditubuhkan telah memberikan keuntungan kepada orang melayu,30% ekuiti diberikan untuk membasmi kemiskinan dikalangan orang melayu..tetapi bagaimana pula lahirnya Vincent Tan,Ananda Krishnan,Robert Kuok,Lim Goh Tong,Francis Yeoh yng gua lihat mendapat keuntungan pasca DEB itu sendiri...Gua sendiri melihat di sini agenda melayu itu sendiri rasis,janganlah kita acapkali memainkan sentimen 13may untuk menimbulkan kemarahan terhadap bangsa lain..gua menganggap polemik pemikiran seperti ini hanya menjadikan Melayu itu lemah..Hanya bergantung kepda dasar kerajaan semata-mata tanpa hasikl usaha untuk mengejar kesenangan hidup..Gua juga melihat individu terkaya di malaysia kebanyakan mempunyai hubungan yg akrab terhadap parti2 politik di Msia..Kita sebagai rakyat sudah mula menunjukkan taring untuk menentang agenda kotor mereka.

Siapa Bodoh?



IDOLA GUA YANG TELAH MENGUBAH HIDUP GUA PAS GUA BACA BUKU NI



United Malays National Organisation berkhayal bahawa gerombolan mereka sahaja yang mewakili orang Melayu. Dakwaan ini sebenarnya satu dongeng yang sengaja disebarkan untuk membodohkan fikrah orang Melayu.

Projek pembodohan Melayu ini sebahagian daripada strategi politik United Malays National Organisation. Selama lebih 50 tahun, proses pembodohan ini telah dilakukan. United Malays National Organisation amat amat sedar tanpa projek pembodohan ini, mereka akan hilang kuasa untuk memerintah.

Pada zaman feudal dahulu, orang-orang Melayu dibodohkan dengan pelbagai dongeng tentang daulat raja, tentang hikmat raja, tentang kehebatan raja, tentang ilmu raja atau tentang raja yang mewakili tuhan di bumi ini.

Dakwaan ini semuanya dongeng. Semua ini sebahagian daripada projek membodohkan Melayu.

United Malays National Organisation tidak mahu orang Melayu memiliki fikrah dan berkeupayaan untuk berfikir secara bebas. Susuk yang memiliki fikrah dan berkeupayaan berfikir secara bebas pasti akan menjauhkan diri daripada gerombolan ini.

Manusia yang berfikir akan berupaya untuk melihat tipu belit yang sedang dijalankan oleh gerombolan ini.

Projek pembodohan ini ada yang dijalankan dengan licik sehingga tidak dapat dilihat; ada pula yang amat jelas dan dapat dilihat dengan mudah. Projek pembodohan yang licik dan yang terang berjalan serentak untuk membonsaikan akal fikrah manusia Melayu.

Cara pertama:

Menakut-nakutkan Melayu tentang bahaya orang asing. Orang asing yang dimaksudkan oleh gerombolan ini tidak lain dan tidak bukan - orang Cina. Kaum ini dijadikan “momok” untuk terus menakut-nakutkan orang Melayu.

Akan ditimbulkan pelbagai cerita untuk membuktikan bahawa ekonomi negara ini dimiliki oleh orang Cina. Racun membenci Cina telah memandulkan fikrah Melayu untuk melihat dengan jelas bahawa wujud persekongkolan intim antara kroni gerombolan United Malays National Organisation dengan para cukong Cina.

Para cukong yang mengaut harta kekayaan sebenarnya bekerjasama dengan gerombolan United Malays National Organisation - kerjasama mereka ini seperti hubungan abang dengan adik.

Cuba kita kembali kepada kes bank Bumiputera Malaysia Finance (BMF) yang lingkup pada tahun 1980-an dahulu. Nama seperti Hashim Shamsuddin dan Lorraine Osman akan muncul; kemudian diikuti nama George Tan. Siapakah Lorraine Osman? Dia ini tidak lain dan tidak bukan bendahari gerombolan sendiri!

Skandal bilion ringgit ini hanyalah satu contoh daripada berjuta-juta contoh lain – belum lagi diambil kira kes PKFZ, Bakun, Perwaja, Formula 1, Piala Monsoon, KLCC – wujud kerjasama antara gerombolan dengan “orang asing” ini untuk menjarah hasil negara.

Cara kedua:

Menyebar berita dongeng bahawa sesiapa yang menentang United Malays National Organisation bererti menentang raja dan monarki. Dakwaan ini bukan sahaja dongeng tetapi cerita lawak.

Orang Melayu sengaja dibodohkan dan tidak diarifkan untuk memahami bahawa melawan, menentang atau mengkrtitik sistem monarki ini bukan sesuatu yang pelik atau menghairankan.

Dalam sejarah negara Arab, banyak raja telah dicampakkan dalam tong sampah sejarah. Raja Feisal dari Iraq, Raja Farouk (Mesir), Raja Idris (Libya), Raja Bagi Segala Raja Ahmad Reza Pahlevi (Iran) – semuanya dihumbankan.

Justeru, menentang monarki bukan sesuatu yang asing dalam sejarah tamadun manusia. Malah menentang monarki adalah tindakan progresif dan maju.

Tetapi orang Melayu sengaja dibodohkan agar terus terperangkap untuk tunduk melutut tanpa berfikir. Orang Melayu tidak diberi kefahaman yang jelas bahawa “menjunjung ke bawah duli” itu ertinya “menjunjung tapak kaki”. Orang Melayu tidak diberitahu bahawa “pacal” itu ertinya “anak anjing”.

“Patik pacal yang hina menyembah duli tuanku” bermakna “saya ini anak anjing yang hina menjunjung tapak kaki kamu”. Bukankah kenyataan ini kerja bodoh dan memperbodohkan diri sendiri?

Kenapa orang Melayu boleh dibodohkan sebegini? Kenapa orang Mealyu mahu menjadi bodoh dan terus dibodohkan?

Cara ketiga:

Sesiapa yang menentang United Malays National Organistion dikatakan menentang Islam. Dakwaan ini juga projek membodohkan orang Melayu. Bagaimana menentang gerombolan ini disangkutpautkan dengan agama tidak pula dilakar dengan jelas.

Islam ialah agama kepercayaan. Manakala United Malays National Organistion adalah satu gerombolan politik. Islam wujud 1,500 tahun dahulu. Gerombolan yang beroperasi hari ini hanya wujud semenjak tahun 1988. Manusia Melayu menganut Islam 500 tahun dahulu dan tidak ada sangkut paut dengan United Malays National Organisation.

Manusia Melayu menganut Islam bukan kerana United Malays National Organisation. Mereka menganut Islam kerana satu kepercayaan agama.

Tetapi orang Melayu di Malaysia ini terus ditakut-takutkan seolah-olah gerombolan ini wakil tuhan di atas bumi ini. Dakwaan ini karut. Tidak ada sesiapa yang mewakili tuhan di atas bumi ini. Menentang United Malays National Organisation bukan menentang agama, bukan menentang Islam dan bukan menentang tuhan.

Yang Maha Esa tidak pernah melantik United Malays National Organisation untuk menjadi wakilnya. Malah Yang Maha Esa tidak juga melantik pope, sami, dalai, ayatollah, paderi, rabbai untuk menjadi wakilnya.

Apa yang terjadi, para agamawan ini orang-orang yang beramal dan beribadat. Mereka mengikut selurus dan setepat mungkin ajaran-ajaran daripada kitab-kitab suci. Semua mereka hanyalah manusia yang sama seperti makcik dan pakcik di Felda Sungai Rokan – bezanya mereka boleh berfikir dan berilmu.

Ahkirnya:

Projek pembodohan Melayu ini telah dibudayakan. Ertinya, ia menjadi sebahagian daripada proses pembudayaan fikiran Melayu. Lembaga-lembaga daulah yang wujud diarahkan untuk terus menjalankan projek pembodohan ini.

Kaedah pembelajaran dan media menjadi dua lembaga yang digunakan untuk projek membodohkan Melayu. Media Melayu – jika dibandingkan dengan media yang bukan Melayu – amat ketara perbezaan kandungannya.

Tahap laporan berita, tahap tulisan rencana, tahap soal jawab agama dalam media Melayu – semuanya memiliki nilai bodoh yang amat tinggi.

Begitu juga kaedah pembelajaran dan keilmuan. Anak-anak muda Melayu terus diperbodohkan dalam sistem pembelajaran yang sedia wujud. Justeru, ibu bapa dalam masyarakat Cina tidak mahu anak anak mereka masuk ke sekolah aliran Melayu.

Mereka tidak mahu anak-anak mereka jadi bodoh. Dalam masa yang sama, makin ramai ibu bapa Melayu telah mula menghantar anak-anak mereka ke sekolah aliran Cina.

Di sekolah aliran bukan Melayu, masih ada peluang untuk anak-anak sekolah ini diajar berfikir, bukan diajar untuk menjadi bodoh.

Kemelut politik hari ini adalah hasil daripada projek pembodohan orang Melayu. Masih ramai lagi orang Melayu yang bodoh sehingga mereka gagal untuk membezakan apa yang betul dan apa yang salah; apa yang hak dan apa yang batil.

Projek bodoh ini telah juga memesongkan nilai budaya orang Melayu. Orang Melayu yang telah dibodohkan gagal melihat bahaya rasuah, malah mereka dengan bangga akan mengangkat pemimpin pengamal rasuah.

Orang Melayu yang telah berjaya dibodohkan gagal melihat bagaimana sistem kehakiman dan keadilan dalam negara ini boleh dijual beli. Mereka ini terus ingin menjadi bodoh.

Orang Melayu yang ingin terus menjadi bodoh gagal melihat pembunuh, penculik, pengambil rasuah – ini semua bukan pekerjaan salah.

Budaya songsang lagi bodoh ini melihat kejahatan itu sebagai baik dan suci kerana ia dilakukan oleh manusia Melayu beragama Islam yang memiliki kad gerombolan United Malays National Organisation.

Malaysia To Become Zimbabwe

Malaysia is now arrived at one point or one phase of serious morale damage where the bribery is so high, from low ranking to the highest ranking, the corruption is everywhere, where people have no more shame doing it publicly.  
Day by days hundreds of cases is reported in newspapers about this misbehave of taking bribe. People nowadays no more think about halal and haram. No more think where the money came from. No more think the sources of money that they buy food to feed their families. All these people only think about is just to have a lot of money in an easy way.
Have we ask ourselves, where is our integrity?
If these things keep happening without taking any prevention steps, we afraid something bad might happen to our country. It’s not impossible that any country might fall someday if the system of the particular country is badly corrupt. We should learn from history. We don’t want to be like the famous Zimbabwe story, in the African continent where the system was so damaged and corrupted until the continent was fall badly.
A long time ago, Zimbabwe was a country with a strong economy and its city Harare was among the beautiful and cleanest in the continent. That is until there is rose to power one of their own named Robert Mugabe.
Robert Mugabe started by fighting for independence from white rule and then went on to wrest power by the bloody deaths of his own people, which allowed him to stay in power for almost 30 year. His system was too corrupt. His politics raises questions about racism and tribalism. He shared power with soldiers and police who looked after him so well that he stayed in power for so long.
At that time, maybe for his tribe, he was their warrior, but for others, he just a dictator.
Mugabe ensured that others ethnic groups were oppressed and when they opposed his cruelty they were accuse of being traitors to the country. There was a terrible violation of human rights and oppression that took place.
His cruelty and damaged that he made had lead the world to criticized his racist politics and ironhanded rule. But when the world criticized him, he accused other countries of wanting to overthrow his rule.
His politics had a huge impact for the people because the economy became worse and collapsed. The police and government institutions had long been tools of his party and were no longer government bodies or agencies that were objectives or professional. The mass media was completely under the control of Mugabe’s cronies. With this, they hoped that Mugabe would continue to look after their interest.
As a result, the Zimbabwe economy was destroyed and inflation jumped to unimaginable levels and unemployment hit to 80%. The country’s currency became worthless. Diseases like cholera and HIV/AIDS swept across the country. The life expectancy for Zimbabweans dropped to 37 years for male and 34 for females, the lowest in the world!
Look what an unprincipled leader with no integrity, who was also cruelled and wicked, destroyed his very own country. Even his own tribe suffered terribly because of the action of their supreme leader who supposedly fight for his own country people but did not do so.
So this is the famous story of Mugabe and Zimbabwe. The story that we should takes as reminder to us and to our beloved country. We don’t want this to happen to us. We should learn from history. Smart people learn from mistake, but smarter people learn from other’s mistake.
Malaysia today is undergoing her worst crisis, that is, a crisis of trust in the authority and integrity of the government and non-government institution. The people have lost confidence in these bodies, especially in hoping they would act justly. The people doubt the ability of these bodies to carry out their duties in an honest and professionalism way. They may thrill to say that they doing all of this for their religion and race. They are probably are unaware that that was the practice in Mugabe’s Zimbabwe.
Maybe one day we too will become like Zimbabwe.
Bribery and corruption is everywhere that sometimes we ourselves is so confused what motivates people to not care of having integrity in their administration. If we say they want promotions, aren’t they already high enough? If we say they want high salaries, isn’t their salary now already quite handsome and more than sufficient?
But we should remember one thing, not everyone like that. If there are 10 bad people, there must be at least one good people. And I believe our country is still full with a good and integrity people.
So here I would like to apologize to all the government officers and staff who are honest, transparent, hard-working, good hearted and non-political if my writing here has hurt them. Everyone know many government officers are honest, don’t take side and don’t like being hypocrisy. They prefer to carry out their duties professionally without the interference of anything. But sadly, while there are those who did reach the highest position without playing any bad tactics, many others were sidelined. In fact those who are honest and brave because of the truth might find themselves stuck without any promotions.
Therefore, these words only for the guilty. To the honest and sincere, congratulations, and sorry coz I didn’t intended to demean their hard work. Let us achieve success slowly as long as we don’t give or sell our principles, trustworthiness and dignity. Let us be the one who is good instead of being among the 10 that is bad.   

One Malaysia

One Malaysia?

Malaysia is a lucky country but not at present a happy one, a worrying situation for a Muslim-majority nation that needs to balance democracy and free choice with religious and racial harmony.
Malaysia is lucky because its abundance of resources has enabled the economy to keep growing. It is unhappy because its politics are between a rock and a hard place.
Malaysia badly needs a break from 52 years of sometimes authoritarian and corrupt rule by a coalition of race-based parties headed by the United Malays National Organization (UMNO), which controls most levers of power and money.
Yet that change may not come any time soon. The opposition coalition, headed by former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, made huge gains in 2008 elections but is finding it difficult to bridge divisions between Malays in the Islamic Party (PAS), ethnically self-conscious Chinese and Indians in the left-leaning Democratic Action Party, and disgruntled moderate Malays and liberals of all races in Anwar’s Keadilan party.
Indeed, the opposition reflects extremes of the racial and religious spectrum while the governing coalition, with all of its problems, still holds much of the middle ground. The governing coalition had a big opportunity to remake itself after its election setback and with the appointment in April of a new prime minister, Najib Razak, in place of the ineffective Abdullah Badawi. Najib began with a flurry of measures to appeal to the different constituencies.
The Chinese were pleased by a decision to end compulsory 30-percent Malay ownership for some service industries; Malays, by the decision to end the use of English rather than Malay for teaching science and math; Indians, by the release of activists detained without trial for demanding an end to alleged discrimination against Hindus; and foreigners, by moves to liberalize investment in the financial sector.
But hopes that the 2008 election result and a new prime minister would persuade the ruling coalition to address endemic high-level corruption, loosen political influence on the judiciary and end detention without trial have been dashed.
A prominent lawyer appointed last year to reform the judiciary was forced out after only a few weeks. Najib is taking a liberal stance on economic issues and willing to reduce some privileges for Malays, but he shares former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s authoritarian instincts.
Anwar Ibrahim awaits another trial for sodomy, a charge widely viewed as a politically motivated sequel to a previous conviction for which he spent six years in prison after he fell out with Mahathir (that sodomy conviction was quashed after Mahathir stepped down). Another leading opposition parliamentarian, the Indian lawyer Karpal Singh, is now on trial for sedition, and the recent death of an opposition party worker following interrogation has led to allegations that brutality is becoming widespread.
Meanwhile, Najib cannot escape reminders of the murder in 2006 by his security guards of a pregnant mistress of a close associate. The associate was acquitted of complicity in her murder, but the guards were convicted. Widespread public perceptions of rot within the system do not easily translate into confidence that the opposition provides a viable alternative. Anwar is widely admired for his eloquence but has been unable to shake off the perception that he is an opportunist telling different groups what they want to hear.
Ultimately, the race issue prevents wholehearted cooperation among the opposition parties in Anwar’s coalition. Some of the Islamists hanker to make common cause with UMNO to strengthen Malay unity and defend pro-Malay, pro-Islamic discrimination. This in turn fits well with allegations by senior UMNO figures that Anwar is a traitor to his race by aligning with the Chinese and Indian minorities.
The notion that Malays and Muslims are under threat from minorities is absurd. But it helps keep Malays loyal to UMNO even while the ruling coalition can claim that it is both multiracial and moderate. The coalition, however corrupted, is still seen by many as representing moderation and stability. UMNO may have pandered to Islamist demands, but few would accuse its leaders of piety or puritanism. Najib’s slogan is “One Malaysia,” an attempt to portray his government as a unifying force. Its actual policies may remain racially skewed in favor of Malays and oppressive of dissent. But given the opposition’s divisions, and the Malay sense of entitlement that makes multiracial politics so difficult, the slogan may work to keep UMNO in power in another decade.

A Talent for disservice and Dishonesty By Mariam Mokhtar

If bureaucrats and politicians were company employees, they'd all be sacked and if the government and civil service represented a company, then it'd probably limp its way into bankruptcyeople once entered the political world or became civil servants to do good and serve the public. Now, many see these vocations as good earners. They lose the sense of service and fail to understand what they've done wrong or why they are occupying their respective positions. They also forget that we pay their wages.

Our politicians and bureaucrats just cannot get the message. Even in government, efficient public service is important. These issues affect public image, (political) survival, satisfied citizens, greater job satisfaction of its civil servants, re-election and loyalty.

Consider the Inspector-General of Police's ill-tempered threat to withdraw his men from the streets. Or, the Home Minister's complaint that the public lacked compassion when policemen were shot. Both failed to realise the police role is to protect the public.

We are prepared to accept the deaths of members of the security forces in the line of duty. We are not willing to accept the indiscriminate deaths of any members of the public who are killed by policemen. After a succession of police shoot-outs, including deaths in police custody, it is hard to identify the real criminals.

Furthermore we are not totally convinced that the crime rate has dropped. A reduction can come about because we fail to report crimes. As a friend mentioned recently, "Why bother? The police take forever to respond or if I make a report, I am treated like the thief."

Naturally, dissent at the top is embarrassing. The Prime Minister's slogan - 1Malaysia - was supposed to amalgamate us. But along came Najib's deputy, who had to put his foot in it and proclaim that he was 'Malay first, Malaysian second'. So much for national integration. His Deputy places little faith in the slogan but we are expected to toe the line. They might as well have said, "Don't do as I do, but do as I tell you."

It's not surprising that we are exasperated. The people who manage our country will not tolerate criticism and protests. They threaten fines, imprisonment and other punishments, but when they are guilty of the same, they are the 'untouchables'.

Career politicians
Unlike a company which values selection and training, we are lumbered with career politicians. Most have never worked in the private sector for an appreciable length of time. They have not learnt about responsibility or worked their way up the career ladder. They are not experts in any useful field. They are just experts in office politics.

Therefore I believe that only those with extensive knowledge of the outside world with skills, experience and maturity, to enrich us, should ever enter politics.

Incredibly, our politicians can be prone to gaffes and be ridiculed. A few years ago, one advisor suggested chastity belts to reduce cases of rape and incest. He retracted his statement and claimed he was joking, after people said he belonged to the dark ages.

And last week, one Senator proposed castration for the men who fathered abandoned babies. Ironically, his statement came after the cabinet banned sex education in schools. 
So when will MPs accept that sex education is not about the joys of sex? Sex education is also about responsibility and that actions have consequences. It deals with contraception, diseases and the importance of relationships. Have MPs noticed that increased religious education and intensified khalwat raids have not reduced the numbers of abandoned babies?

All companies encourage creativity but in this government's case, being creative means perverse methods like chastity belts or castration. Being creative should be about practical workable solutions.

But creativity can also be taken out of context as has happened in Terengganu. The state adopted a "1Toilet" policy to be in line with the '1Malaysia' concept, so that teachers and students could have a feeling of "oneness".

An official claimed that, "Teachers and school principals would share toilets with their students, in a move to liberalise education. Students would then have a sense of belonging and be inspired to excel further in education."

If only it wasn't such a serious matter (our children's education). So, are the people of Terengganu 'flushed' with pride?
MPs are not proactive
Unlike company entrepreneurs, our MPs are not proactive. Only after three women were whipped for having extramarital sex, was an international conference on whipping hastily arranged to discuss all issues relating to whipping. This is a classic case of acting after the event, and failing to empower women in the community.

And like a badly run family company, MPs continually flout the laws. Recently the MP from Kinabatangan was found guilty of illegal polygamy but only paid the minimal fine. Both he and his trophy wife treated the syariah courts with scorn.

Men easily slip through the loopholes in the weak laws for divorce and polygamous marriages. Husbands who abandon their wives are rarely punished. Abandoned babies are not just from single women but also from abandoned wives who despair when there is an extra mouth to feed.

If senior politicians can break the laws, a bad precedent is set. The discrepancy was observed during a recent road-block to catch people breaking the seat-belt ruling. Unbuckled occupants of government vehicles and police cars were not issued with summonses. Despite protests that the road rules were not strictly enforced, a senior officer on duty simply muttered, "No comment".
It is painful to read of corruption cases involving well-connected personalities and multi-millions. They make little headway, if at all. But it is not all doom and gloom. In Johor Baru last February, a Pakistani caught driving without a licence tried to bribe a policeman. He was fined RM10,000 and jailed.

We are accustomed to reading about endemic corruption and the law being broken but without the perpetrators being brought to justice. Therefore, in this incident, the policeman, the Deputy Public Prosecutor and the Judge seem the only models of clear thinking in our corrupt society.

It is apparent that many politicians know nothing about real life and only stumble into it when on the campaign trail. How can they expect to be sympathetic and empathetic towards our needs? They lack on the job training and adopt a mentality of compliance, command and control. What we experience is the failure of our politicians to engage.

Most companies treat their customers like kings for we can go elsewhere, if displeased. But when it comes to our government, we are treated like serfs, not kings. We don't have a choice, at least for now.

If we continue to elect undesirables to lead us, then we deserve those whom we put in power. Why do we continue to clamour for the truth, or for justice, even if the politicians refuse to oblige us? In the end we are to blame for ticking the wrong box on the election paper.

Pecahlah Tembelang Sang Pemimpin

Peguam Perancis, Joseph Breham percaya akan wujudnya “tekanan dan ugutan” sepanjang usahanya menyiasat pembelian dua kapal selam buatan negaranya kepada Malaysia. Namun menurut Breham, beliau tidak gusar kerana tumpuan antarabangsa kepada kes berkenaan semacam memberikan perlindungan untuk beliau.
“Sebagai contoh, sekiranya berlaku sesuatu kepada saya di Malaysia, ia akan menarik perhatian media antarabangsa, tekanan politik dan sebagainya, ini akan menjadikan lebih produktif.
“Saya bukan penterjemah Mongolia. Sekiranya terdapat masalah, semua media berbahasa Perancis akan memaparkan tajuk seperti ‘Peguam Perancis yang menyiasat dakwaan rasuah hilang di Malaysia’. Tiada siapa yang boleh terima perkara ini,” kata Breham dalam satu wawancara baru-baru ini.
Breham dan dua lagi rakannya yang mewakili Suara Rakyat Malaysia (Suaram) – sebuah NGO hak asasi manusia – memfailkan aduan di sebuah mahkamah di Paris berhubung pembelian dua kapal selam Scorpene daripada firma pertahanan Perancis DCN.
Walaupun tujuan siasatan itu untuk mengenal-pasti sama ada berlaku perkara yang disangsikan berhubung penjualan kapal selam itu, namun ia juga secara tidak langsung merancakkkan kembali perbincangan terhadap pembunuhan wanita Mongolia Altantuya Shaariibuu.
Berikut adalah sedutan wawancara Malaysiakini dengan Joseph Breham:
Sila jelaskan kepada kami mengenai latar belakang anda dan bagaimana anda boleh terlibat dengan kegiatan hak asasi?
Joseph Breham: Saya peguam dari Perancis yang mempunyai kepakaran dalam undang-undang jenayah antarabangsa dan hak asasi manusia. Saya juga merupakan pensyarah universiti dalam bidang undang-undang jenayah antarabangsa di Toulouse.
Saya mengajar tiga minggu setahun. Saya juga pakar dalam bidang kegiatan keganasan dan mengendalikan banyak kes yang berkaitan dengannya. Hakikatnya saya berkerja dengan kerajaan dalam bidang pencegahan penganas, melatih hakim dan pendakwa tentang terorisme termasuk menghormati hak asasi. Begitulah bagaimana saya boleh terlibat dengan kerja hak asasi manusia.
Saya amat tertarik dengan hak asasi manusia sejak saya dilahirkan pada 1978, dan sejak itu saya berusaha untuk memahaminya. Sebagai contoh (selepas) kejatuhan Tembuk Berlin, dunia menjadi semakin bercelaru dan timbul perkara baru yang tidak keruan, yang mana (ia adalah) keganasan dan keuntungan globalisasi.
Pekembangan baru ini menyebabkan banyak syarikat multi-nasional tidak menghormati apa sahaja bentuk peraturan. Mereka mempunyai kuasa bagi memaksa kerajaan mengikut telunjuk mereka. Mereka menjadi lebih korup dan kerajaan tidak boleh memaksa mereka (mematuhi) segala kewajipan. Itulah yang menyebabkan saya menceburi dalam kerja-kerja hak asasi.
Jelaskan kepada kami, pengalaman anda dalam mengedalikan kes berkaitan korupsi.
Joseph Breham: Kebanyakkan kes yang saya kendalikan lebih tertumpu kepada negara di benua Afrika. Setiap kes hak asasi yang berkait dengan syarikat multi-nasional juga dikaitkan dengan rasuah. Kami, di Sherpa (organisasi yang diwakilinya) pada mulanya tidak mengendalikan kes rasuah.
Tetapi sekiranya kami mahu lebih efisyen, kami perlu mendepani isu ini. ‘Sherpa’ bermaksud ‘menolong rakyat di Selatan untuk menuntut keadilan’.
Saya mula bekerja di Sherpa pada 2006 dan baru-baru ini saya dilantik ahli lembaga pengarah. Ia ditubuhkan oleh William Bourdon, mantan setiausaha agung Pertubuhan Antarabangsa Hak Asasi Manusia (Fidh) pada 2001. Sejak Fidh tidak menyaman syarikat, lalu kami menubuhkan Sherpa.
